As we continue to receive news about the sad situation our brethren in different places are in, especially in Central, we send our prayers and wishes of recovery to those who are ill with the Coronavirus, and our sincere condolences to the families left behind by those who died from it. May we encourage one another to have more empathy and love, and pray for those who suffer as Christians ought to do.
Illness is part of our existence. Death is the only thing guaranteed in this world. Whether we live or die, it is all under the control of God.
But for the true members of the body of Christ, death is not the end of our story. We do not fear death because it has no lasting power for those who live as true disciples of Christ.
It may seem like evil continue to win in our battles and some are overwhelmed by fear of man over the desire for fighting for the true faith that they surrender to being enslaved just like the Israelites. They lacked faith in God and instead feared what it would require to take on the journey toward the freedom that God promised.
If God’s people would only live in accordance with His will and take no part in the fruitless works of darkness, but rather expose them as written in Ephesians 5:11, our burdens will be lifted. We will be free from human control and our fears will fade into confidence in the power and strength of our God. We will be His faithful people and He will save us even from death.
“The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still”

Isn’t that a very timely reminder? And while we are still and in the confines of our homes, let us reflect on the great power and sovereignty of our creator.
“Be still, and know that I am God.
I will be exalted among the nations,
I will be exalted in the earth!”
~ Psalms 46:10
Meditate on what God has done for us during the greatest fight of our faith. For it is not by our own power that we succeed but ponder upon what He can do for us! If we live our lives fighting for Him and His truth, then it is He, who will also fight and win the battle for us.
You see, nothing happens outside of God’s plans. In the blink of an eye, the world stops at the mercy of His hands. When our strength is exhausted in the fight, and all our time is spent, the victory of the war belongs to the Lord:
O death, where is your victory?
O death, where is your sting?”
~ 1 Corinthians 15:55-57 ESV
Do not your harden your heart then, especially those who ought to be good shepherds of the flock. You have rebelled against the Almighty! Repent while there is time. The same God that sent plagues to Egypt asking the Pharo to set His people free is the same God sending you a message again now. Set the innocent free from prison, and set the oppressed and persecuted free from suffering. His plan is unfolding. Repent, while there is life, for the sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law.
And to those who are still in bondage inside the institution, the same God that ordered His people to come out of the sinful Babylon is calling upon you again now. “Come out of her, my people.” Make your stand to come out of bondage and be on the side of the Lord. Fear no one but God and you will fear nothing, not even death.
And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow—not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love.
