Whoa! Bro. JS sold INC Properties? Really? How did that happen?

There are 2 things to note here:
1. These properties were purchased during the time of Bro. Erano G. Manalo, our former Executive Minister; and
2. The same properties were sold by the Sanggunian during the time of the current Church Administration.
When the Church acquired these properties, our beloved former leader, Bro. Erano, guided by the Holy Spirit, must have seen how these parcels of land can potentially be used by the Church in its many endeavors. Remember that the Iglesia ni Cristo is not a profit?driven organization. Based on our By?Laws, the organization exists to:
Bro. Erano’s actions were never profit?motivated, as in “buy?low?now?sell?high?later”. He was a principled man, dedicated to the Church he loved. To him, buying land was never about making money. He bought land so that the Church may have a place to hold its worship services; build administrative offices; house its ministers and workers; erect ministerial schools and build other edifices necessary to sustain the needs of a rapidly growing Church. Bro. Erano had vision and foresight, and most of all, he had divine inspiration. These are what guided him in all the acquisitions he made for the Church.
Sadly, in recent years, we’ve seen these properties being sold at an alarming rate that the brethren have started to wonder if the current Church Council or Sanggunian is deliberately doing this to raise money to fund some hidden project or projects. Or, is this simply a case of poor fiscal management? We shall answer this in our next major exposes…
To those who have mocked our previous revelations on properties sold in recent years and have countered with a quip “So what?”, let me say this. A “So what” argument may hold water for 1 or 2 properties which the Administration (more likely, the Sanggunian) may have determined the Church no longer needs. But, so far, we have exposed 5! And believe me, we are going to expose MORE and SOON!
As if this is not enough, the Sanggunian has put up several other properties on the market, awaiting prospective buyers! If past sales is any indication, we are probably going to sell them, too, at marked down prices! If this doesn’t reek of desperation to raise cash, I don’t know what does. Or is the excuse still that these properties are no longer needed or wanted? If this is the case, are you saying then that Bro. Erano erred, not once, not twice, but SO MANY TIMES in his acquisition decisions? If so, then this I say to you: HOW.DARE.YOU!!! And you call yourself a true Iglesia Ni Cristo??? Well, think again!

For these transactions, our beloved Executive Minister Bro. Eduardo V. Manalo was represented by the “feeling Executive Minister” Bro. Glicerio B. Santos, officially the General Auditor of the Church but, in practice, as we know, is much, much more than that. In Bro. JS’ capacity as General Auditor, is he empowered to dispose of Church properties? Let’s turn to the Church’s Amended By?Laws and Amended Articles of Incorporation for an authoritative answer.

Repeating the question, is Bro. JS empowered to dispose of Church properties? The answer is an unequivocal NO. Both the Articles of Incorporation and By?Laws of the Church are explicit in this regard. The SOLE AND EXCLUSIVE AUTHORITY TO DISPOSE OF ANY AND ALL ASSETS of the Church is granted only to our Executive Minister, Bro. Eduardo V. Manalo.
If that’s the case, is Bro. JS now our new Executive Minister? GOODNESS GRACIOUS, GODHELP?US?ALL, NO!!! He may think that, and he may act it, but Executive Minister he is MOST CERTAINLY NOT AND WILL NEVER BE! It is bad enough that he enjoys the power that he does now and has ingrained himself in every fabric of our organization, but the faithful know that his time is limited. God, in His high heavens, will strike him down, along with his family and the other members of the Church Council or Sanggunian and their cronies, who have abused their power and conspired in acts unimaginable to desecrate His Church!
Let’s be clear. For the record, our Executive Minister remains our beloved Bro. Eduardo V. Manalo.
So if that’s the case, how then was Bro. JS able to sell Church properties and accept proceeds from the sale? It was because Bro. Radel G. Cortez, as General Secretary of the Church, and Bro. JS’ partner?in-crime, issued a Secretary’s Certificate that gave Bro. JS such authority. This is the same Bro. Radel G. Cortez, who, if you recall, was the focus of a previous article on unexplained wealth and the registered owner of a luxury car, a Prado!

Here is the Secretary’s Certificate authorizing Bro. JS to represent the Church in the sales transaction.
If this certificate can be believed, there was apparently a Board Resolution: (1) approving the sale of the Church’s properties in Antipolo City; and (2) authorizing Bro. JS to represent the Church in this transaction. Since we already know that only Bro. Eduardo V. Manalo, as corporation sole, may authorize disposition of real properties, and that only he may delegate official representation, the implicit assumption is that the Board had acted on Bro. Eduardo’s behest when it passed the Resolution.
Ordinarily, a legal instrument in the form of a Secretary’s Certificate should not raise any further concern. In this case though, such attestation fails to allay brethren’s suspicion because neither the certifier (Bro. Radel G. Cortez) nor the appointee (Bro. JS) inspires trust and confidence in the brethren. On the contrary, both are known to live a lifestyle that rivals the rich and famous, their sources of accumulated wealth as yet unexplained. Both are tied to several allegations of corruption and bribery, both internally and externally and other unspeakable crimes to be revealed in future articles.
In the absence of actual evidence that the authority to enter into these sale transactions, in fact, emanated from Bro. Eduardo, disquiet and distrust will continue to lurk in the minds and hearts of the brethren, against the Sanggunian. And even more so as revelations continue to unfold on this topic.
Brethren, I know that like me, you too, are having a difficult time imagining that Bro. Eduardo himself would authorize the disposal of properties, his father and our former Executive Minister Bro. Erano G. Manalo, had intended for Church use. Not when our properties are being disposed of at this massive scale.
Why would Bro. Eduardo want to let go of these parcels of land in Ugong, Pasig which are in a particularly desirable location? So desirable in fact that Robinsons Land Corporation willing to part with P346 million (or P90,000 per sq m) just to have them!
Land whose use was explicitly restricted to the construction of a religious edifice or a 2?to?3 storey first?class building, as mentioned in the Memorandum of Encumbrances in the cancelled TCTs.

Was this perhaps what Bro. Erano had envisioned when he purchased these properties? That one day, another glorious place of worship, or perhaps, a Church building would rise here?
Voicing out the thought that is in the minds of the brethren– DID BRO. EDUARDO V. MANALO REALLY AUTHORIZE THE SALE? That is the million dollar question, isn’t it?
