Iglesia Ni Cristo — Silent No More examines the conduct of the Iglesia Ni Cristo leadership: its handling of church finances, allegations of extravagant lifestyle and irregularities, abuse of power and authority, its entanglement with Philippine politics, its treatment of members who raise concerns, and the court proceedings that have followed.

This site has been published since 2015. In that time, these pages have been read more than eight million times.

About

I am Antonio Ramirez Ebangelista — though that is not my real name. It is a pseudonym I use to protect my identity, because history has shown that those identified as dissenters of the Iglesia Ni Cristo (INC) Church Administration have been targeted, unjustly imprisoned, and even killed.

I was raised in the Iglesia Ni Cristo and spent years inside the church as a member, church officer and Minister, close enough to see how loyalty is enforced and how questions are punished. I began publishing after watching critics and victims be silenced while the institution used its influence, money, and members’ offerings to protect its image instead of confronting wrongdoing. I continue because the public record matters — and because people still inside deserve a clear, documented account of what happens when power goes unchecked.

INC Silent No More was born from the collective voices of ministers, church officers, and lifelong active members who loved what the church used to stand for — and who could no longer sit idly by as the Administration veered away from the teachings of Christ. This site has been targeted and attacked many times, but we are still here, and we will not be silent anymore.

What this site covers

The courts

The INC’s legal actions against its critics — and what happens when those claims meet judicial scrutiny. In March 2025, a Canadian court dismissed the Iglesia Ni Cristo’s defamation case against the CBC. In May 2026, the Canadian Court of Appeal dismissed the appeal. These outcomes are matters of public record, and they are documented here as they happen. There are many more documented frivolous cases brought by the Church in the Philippines, Australia, Europe and the United States.

Politics

The church’s shift from professed political neutrality to active mobilisation under Eduardo V. Manalo: rallies, endorsements, and the gap between what is stated publicly and what is organised in practice. It also examines the entrenched links between the Church Administration and graft and corruption in government.

Accountability and safeguarding

Allegations involving people in positions of religious authority, and the institutional responses to them. Protecting children from predatory conduct is a recurring subject here and will remain one.

Governance and doctrine

How the administration of the church has departed from the doctrine and practice it professes — and what happens to members who point this out.

How this reporting is done

Everything here rests on material a reader can check for themselves: court filings and judgments, public records, published journalism, and first-hand accounts from members and former members.

Where something is established, it is stated plainly. Where something is alleged, contested, or drawn from a single source, it is described that way — and attributed. Court documents are cited so readers can read the ruling rather than take my characterisation of it.

Corrections are welcome and will be made. If something published here is wrong, tell me and I will fix it — and I will say that I have.

A note on what this is, and isn’t

This site is critical of an institution and of the people who lead it. It is not a criticism of the faith of ordinary members, many of whom are among its readers, and some of whom have been its sources.

Reporting on a religious organisation invites the accusation of bias. The answer to that is not to be silent, but to be accurate — and to leave the evidence where anyone can examine it.
