ANOTHER SYMPATHIZER OF BRO. ANGEL V. MANALO SHOT DEAD ON THE HEAD EXECUTION STYLE
Taguig City, Metro Manila – June 10, 2017, around 3:30 in the afternoon, ex-marine soldier Peter John Delos Santos Ledesma, 46 years old, was shot dead while inside a jeepney during traffic along the flyover in Phase I, Pinagsama Village in Taguig City. Peter John was shot in the head execution style at point blank in broad daylight by unidentified men, riding in tandem, in full view of many witnesses.
Peter John, was one of the ex-marines who has been helping the Family of Bro. Eran?o G. Manalo by bringing them food, water, and other basic needs. He was on his way home from delivering food and clean clothes to Bro. Angel V. Manalo in Camp Bagong Diwa, Bicutan. He had with him, the used clothes and food containers that he took from Bro. Angel.
Peter John is the older brother of Jonathan Ledesma, also an ex-marine officer who is imprisoned in Camp Bagong Diwa, Bicutan with Bro. Angel and Bro. Jem Manalo. Peter John and the other men and women who continue to support and send assistance to the Manalo Family allegedly received threats and intimidation from the loyal followers of INC Executive Minister, Eduardo V. Manalo of the controversial church.
After a series of allegedly mysterious disappearances of good Samaritans, Bro. Felix Villocino and Bro. Danilo Patungan which are now also presumed dead came the gruesome and brutal murder of Bro. Lito Fruto who was ambushed in his car and was mercilessly shot in the head numerous times. Now, another brutal murder with the same M.O. The only thing these people have in common is their bravery in helping the oppressed and helpless despite the alleged threats and risks that caused them to be likely targets and eventually caused them their lives.
“Hinirang” or “Chosen Ones” as they have been called, is the alleged Iglesia Ni Cristo notorious Hit Squad. The present opposition to the current Administration of the INC alleges that it is an open secret inside the extremely private and close-knit church. This is the same hit-squad that was exposed by an ex-INC Ministerial worker, Lowell R. Menorca II who was charged with numerous cases of Libel from all over the archipelago after recounting the ordeal that he suffered from the Church’s Council Ministers and the existence of the “private army” of the Iglesia Ni Cristo. After the strong denial of the Church Administration regarding the existence of a Hit Squad, the critics of the Church allege that the trail of missing and dead bodies is beginning to reveal a very disturbing pattern of extreme fanaticism and bigotry from the members.
